Purpose The purpose of the Grapevine Committee is to encourage Districts and Groups within Area 28 to elect Grapevine Representatives and to allow elected members of AA to participate in the service structure of Area 28.

Happy Holidays to Area 28!

Our contribution to the Grapevine’s Carry the Message Project, approved at the Fall Assembly, enabled 50 gift subscriptions to go to Friends in need; most in correctional facilities with limited access to meetings. And the CTM contribution jar at the Assembly provided for four more subscriptions, for a total of 54 Grapevine subscriptions to Carry the Message!

I encourage Districts and Groups to Carry the Message as a part of their 12th Step work and consider earmarking $36.00 for the purchase of a gift certificate which will be used to fund one print subscription to the Grapevine for one year. The Grapevine print magazine is our meeting in print, and connects one alcoholic to another; it’s a lifeline for many alcoholics who have limited or no access to others in our Fellowship.
